Dancing Blooms: Tracking Body Movements

This was an exploratory project during which I learned the basics of TouchDesigner, a visual development platform that allows to manipulate and generate real-time visuals. Paired with a digital camera, it can generate real-time visuals and create an immersive experience for participants.

This interactive projection features flowers that are 'dancing' in response to participants’ movements creating a beautiful and natural performance. As you move your hands and body, the digital camera captures your movements and the canvas of flowers comes to life, moving in perfect harmony with every gesture. The result is a display that makes it seem as if you have the power to control this flower symphony with your body's movements.
